Broccoli-blue cheese puree soup!

Täna proovisin esimest korda teha püreesuppi ja isegi kui ma ise seda ütlen, siis see tuli välja suurepärane. Tegemist on brokkoli-sinihallitusjuustu supiga. Originaalretsepti leidsin raamatust 'Toitvad supid'.

Kuidas see käib? Soojenda potis paar lusikatäit oliiviõli ning prae seal 3-4 minutit üks suur hakitud sibul. Lisa umbes 1 liiter juurviljapuljongit (võid ise teha või ka puljongikuubikust) ja 1 hakitud kartul ning keeda umbes 10 minutit. Seejärel lisa 350g hakitud brokkolit ning lase paar minutit keeda nii, et brokkoli oleks pehme, aga endiselt helerohelist värvi. Seejärel sega supi sisse umbes 60 g sinihallitusjuustu, sega kuni juust on sulanud ning vala kogu segu blenderisse või köögikombaini ja püreesta. Mina lisas veidi ka vahukoort ja kreemjuustu, et saavutada eriti kohev ja mõnus püreesupp. Lase supp uuesti soojaks, pane taldrikusse ja kaunista purustatud sinihallitusjuustu ja seemnetega. Lase hea maitsta! Kindlasti soovitan! Magustoiduks oli mango ja viinamarjad.

Today was the day that for the first time ever I tried to make  puree soup and even if I'm the one saying it I think it came out amazing. It was a broccoli-blue cheese puree soup. The original recipe is from a soup book.

So how to do it? Warm up a couple of spoonfuls of olive oil in a pot and fry a big chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes. Add 1 liter of vegetable broth (you can make it yourself or use a broth cube) and 1 big chopped potato. Boil for about 10 minutes. Then add 350g of chopped broccoli and let it boil until the broccoli is soft but hasn't lost its green color. Then add  about 60 grams crushed blue cheese, stir until it melts and then add the whole thing into a blender and puree. I also added a bit of whipped cream and cream cheese to make the soup super smooth. Once it's all puree, then heat it up once more, put it in a bowl, decorate with some more blue cheese and some seeds and enjoy. I definitely recommend! Dessert was mango and some grapes.

Toit!

Kõigile meeldib süüa. Ja ma tean päris mitmeid inimesi, kes tunnistavad, et söövad liiga palju, eriti just kodus, sest see läheb lihtsalt nii märkamatult. Ka mina olen selles kindlasti süüdi. Kuna mul ei õnnestu kunagi toidupäevikut pidada, siis otsustasin, et salvestan fotodena mida ma iga päev söön, et endalgi ülevaade oleks olemas ja mingigi vastutus. Siin on peaaegu nädala jagu lõunasööke. Kindlasti on nad tervislikumad ja sisaldavad palju rohkem juurvilju kui enne (kui muidugi vastlapäeva kukkel välja arvata), aga kindlasti võiksid nad olla veel tervislikumad. Ma üritan ennast ka toidu poole pealt rohkem harida ja erinevaid asju proovida, seega loodetavasti on siin varsti ka mõned head retseptid kirjas.


Everybody loves to eat. And I know quite a few people who openly admit that they eat too much, especially at home as the food just goes by so quickly. I'm no different. As I'm seriously incapable of keeping a food diary, I decided to do it by taking pictures of everything I eat to have an overview and also to keep myself accountable. So the picture above is almost a week worth of lunches. They're definitely more healthy and have more veggies than before (especially the Shrove Tuesday's bun), but for sure they could be more healthy. I am trying to educate myself on food and try out different things (mostly inspired by Pinterest), and hopefully soon there will be a few recipes uploaded here also.

Instagrammers #1

> Aeg-ajalt on vaja väikest positiivset mõtet. Y B Divided toodab tegelikult riideid aga Instagrammi postitad rõõmsameelseid mõttekilde.
